Construction of Icebreaker for Neva River Continues: Tugboat "Narvskaya Zastava" to Receive Fire Suppression System

The Project 3262 vessel is scheduled for completion by the end of 2026

The company "Runitor" has completed the delivery of an external fire suppression system for the icebreaking tugboat "Narvskaya Zastava" of Project 3262. The vessel is being built at the "Nobel Brothers Shipyard" (part of the "Kalashnikov" concern).

The system delivery includes fire monitors, a set of remotely controlled valves, a diesel-pump unit consisting of a diesel engine, coupling, and fire pump, a control system, and a special dispenser of the company's own design, which allows mixing foam and water in the required proportions.

The system is controlled from the wheelhouse using joysticks and a touch screen. A portable control panel is included.

The fire suppression system is fully integrated with the vessel and includes water curtains and foam extinguishing, providing production of up to 500 cubic meters of water per hour and up to 300 cubic meters per hour with foam concentrate.

The tugboat "Narvskaya Zastava" of Project 3262, class "КМ Аrc4 [1] R3- RSN AUT2 Tug", was laid down in Rybinsk on July 4, 2025. Completion of work is expected by the end of 2026.

The icebreaking tugboat "Narvskaya Zastava" will perform tasks on the Neva River. Its tasks will include breaking ice cover, preventing flooding of coastal areas, ensuring environmental safety, conducting rescue operations, and extinguishing fires on other vessels.
