The Russian company NtechLab, a technological partner of Rostec, has developed an innovative solution to eliminate traffic jams at gas stations. The neural network analyzes the video stream from cameras, identifying clusters of cars. The technology is being tested at several stations, and full-scale implementation is planned for next year.
The system monitors congestion at the pumps and sends notifications to the station manager, who can promptly correct the situation: direct drivers to available spaces, open additional lines, or regulate traffic. In the absence of staff response, the signal goes directly to the head office, which reduces the likelihood of long queues forming and increases the station's throughput.
NtechLab is actively developing AI-based solutions for the transport sector: their technologies are capable of recognizing stolen cars, recording cars that have fled the scene of an accident, finding defects in road surfaces, and helping city services optimize passenger flows.
