A multi-object video analytics system based on artificial intelligence, developed by NtechLab (a technological partner of Rostec), has been implemented in Obninsk. This system is already operating in the central square, parks, railway and bus stations, as well as educational institutions. In the near future, it will also be integrated into the road infrastructure.
AI algorithms analyze city traffic, recognizing faces, human silhouettes, and car license plates. For example, the system can compare car numbers with a database of vehicles that should not be on the roads (for example, due to lack of registration or driver's license revocation). According to NtechLab, this will help improve safety and comfort in the city.
The next city to implement the technology will be Kaluga.
