IAEA Director General Rafael Grossi stated Russia's strong position in the field of artificial intelligence and nuclear energy. According to him, our country has a highly qualified research base in mathematics, computer science, and also develops technologies in the field of AI.
Russia remains the world's largest exporter, as well as a leading operator and developer of advanced reactor technologies.
Grossi praised the Russian research potential at the IAEA conference on artificial intelligence and nuclear energy, which took place in Vienna.
In September 2025, at a meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin, Grossi confirmed Rosatom's leading role in the development of nuclear energy in the world, especially in Asia and Africa. He noted the importance of the IAEA's presence to support these projects and discussed nuclear safety issues.
