Russia will participate in the tender for the construction of a nuclear power plant (NPP) in Saudi Arabia. This was announced by Russian Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Novak.

According to Alexander Novak, preparations for the tender are in full swing. The terms and participants of the new project are already known — it remains to determine the dates. Now companies are preparing tender documentation.

The intention to develop nuclear energy in Saudi Arabia was announced in 2015. Rosatom State Corporation applied to participate in the tender for the construction of a nuclear power plant in 2018.

Earlier www1.ru reported that the Hormoz NPP for $25 billion will appear in Iran.
