A Lada Azimut prototype in the top configuration with a 1.8-liter engine, CVT, and two-tone wheels was spotted in Tolyatti, according to the Telegram channel of former AvtoVAZ engineer Kha Dm.
This combination of units will be used in the top version of the Azimut until the model with a 1.5-liter turbocharged engine with about 150 hp and a classic "automatic" transmission appears. The 1.8 engine has been modernized and has become slightly more powerful than the Lada Vesta in a similar configuration.
The prototype also received two-tone wheels, the source notes. The official launch of the Lada Azimut on the market is scheduled for 2026. The car will be offered with a 1.6-liter 120-horsepower engine and a 1.8-liter 132-horsepower engine, and a 6-speed manual transmission and a CVT will be available in the transmission.
