The effectiveness of the Tor family of anti-aircraft missile systems (SAM) against drones has been fully proven by combat experience. This was announced by Vyacheslav Dzirkan, Deputy General Director of the Almaz-Antey concern.
According to him, the export potential of the complex remains "very high and not fully realized."
"Tors" have a number of unique features and advantages: firing on the move, including at highly maneuverable targets, vertical launch, minimum reaction time. Not just high efficiency, but a high guarantee of UAV destruction.
The representative of the concern recalled that the modular Tor was refined taking into account combat experience, and the complex received new capabilities for detecting and engaging air threats.
The Tor systems are designed to cover advanced units from missile strikes, gliding bombs, aircraft and even a swarm of drones.
Second-level modernization models, such as the Tor-M2U, are capable of operating on the march at speeds up to 40 km/h, without limiting the maneuver of the forces being protected.
