The "Tornado-S" multiple launch rocket system (MLRS) has become one of the most effective means of destruction in battle when kamikaze drones cannot cope. This was stated in the Rostec State Corporation.
The company cited an example: once a 300-millimeter projectile fired from dozens of kilometers away hit the target accurately without any deviation.
Guided munitions "Tornado-S" today have become one of the highly effective means of destroying pinpoint targets.
Rostec recalled that along with guided and corrected missiles "Tornado-S", enterprises also produce such high-precision weapons as missiles of the Iskander operational-tactical complex, Krasnopol guided projectiles, Vikhr universal missiles, "Product-305" and other systems.
The firing range of guided rockets is more than 100 km. The accuracy of firing projectiles "Tornado-S" is 15–20 times higher than that of the projectiles of its predecessor MLRS "Smerch". 9M542 ammunition is equipped with a GLONASS-correction radio navigation module with a jam-resistant CRPA antenna of the Kometa-M line.
There are also known cases when "Tornado-S" confidently defeated the Patriot anti-aircraft missile system in a counter-battery duel.
