Российский авторынок снова занял второе место в Европе — впереди только Германия

After a temporary decline, the Russian new passenger car market has grown, surpassing the United Kingdom, France, and Italy

In October 2025, the Russian market for new passenger cars demonstrated growth and returned to second place in Europe in terms of sales volume, second only to Germany. According to the Autostat agency, 165,702 new cars were sold in Russia, which is 3.2% less than last year's figure.

This allowed the Russian market to overtake the United Kingdom (144,948 units, +0.5%), France (139,513, +2.9%), and Italy (125,826, -0.6%). Germany remains the sales leader with 250,133 cars (+7.8%).

Experts note that the recovery of the Russian position is largely due to the growing demand for domestic brands and sustained interest in popular foreign models.
