The Kirov plant "Mayak" (part of the "Kalashnikov" concern) has launched mass production of parts from composite material on a unique winding machine. Thanks to the new equipment, the company is no longer dependent on third-party supplies, the concern's press service said.
The engineers of "Mayak" designed the tooling for the machine. After working out the technology, it reached its design capacity. In the near future, the equipment will switch to a round-the-clock operation mode.
We are now continuing to improve the technical process in order to reduce the cost and time for the production of parts.
Features of the winding machine:
- weaves more than 2.5 km of composite fabric per hour
- winds up to 80 threads simultaneously
- manufactures composite parts that can withstand temperatures up to 300 °C
- completely Russian development
Components created on this equipment are durable and have a long service life (over 50 years).
