The LazerBuzz laser drone counteraction system (Project "Staff") has been taught to destroy aerial targets in 0.5 seconds in automatic mode. This was reported by the developing company.
The system is now fully ready for use, and deliveries are currently being agreed upon.
LazerBuzz added that the laser system is also designed to protect rear infrastructure, industrial and strategic facilities.
This is a working alternative to electronic warfare systems, which are currently showing insufficient effectiveness in combating FPV drones.
As a reminder, the system works by physically affecting drones based on focused ytterbium laser radiation technology.
Project "Staff" is powered by portable batteries and can be installed on any armored vehicle. The range of target engagement is about 1.5–2 km, at this distance it is almost impossible to hit a drone with small arms.
