130 new fast electric charging stations have opened in the Moscow region. The region continues to improve infrastructure for the convenience of owners of "electric cars" and hybrids. Investors who invest in the construction of infrastructure have submitted documents for obtaining a state subsidy. This is reported by the press service of the Ministry of Energy of the Moscow region.
One of the important incentives for the development of the EVC network is the pilot project "Electric Vehicle and Hydrogen Vehicle," which was completed in 2024. Thanks to it, 277 fast charging stations have appeared in the region since 2022. Investors were able to recover 610 million rubles invested in the construction of charging infrastructure.
In 2025, it was planned to open more stations than 130. Changes in plans arose due to the lengthy process of developing a state support program by the federal ministry. Stations that cannot be launched before the end of the year will be put into operation in 2026.
Currently, there are about 900 charging stations in the Moscow region, of which 452 are "fast" chargers with a capacity of 60 to 342 kilowatts. By the end of 2025, it is planned to increase the total number of stations to 1000.
