JSC "Romanov" has received vehicle type approval (OTTS) and chassis type approval (OTSH) for the entire model range of BAZ vehicles. This was reported by the company's press service.
Obtaining OTTS allows us to start mass production and expand our presence in the market.
The certified vehicles are all-wheel drive three-axle trucks equipped with 6-cylinder YaMZ-6531 diesels. The line includes a flatbed version, a dump truck, and a semi-trailer tractor. Wheelbases and body types vary depending on the model, and the curb weight ranges from 17.4 to 19.45 tons.
The localization level of the trucks exceeds 90%. The production plan for 2026 is 600 units, with the prospect of increasing to 2,000 units per year.
The vehicles are planned to be produced at the plant in Shushary (near St. Petersburg). Previously, Scania and MAN were assembled there.
The new products will replace the models of heavy off-road trucks of European brands (the so-called "big seven") that left the Russian market in the spring of 2022.
Earlierwww1.ru reported that the testing of the BAZ-S31A31 flatbed truck with maximum load wascarried out by the company "Romanov."
