A new line of BAZ civilian trucks, created on the basis of military automotive equipment, will be launched into mass production in Russia. This was announced by the director of "Obukhov Plant" Mikhail Podvyaznikov.
The presentation of the new family of trucks, built on a new cargo platform, took place at the Comtrans exhibition in Moscow.
The cargo platform was not developed from scratch. The Bryansk Automobile Plant, which has experience in the production of military equipment, used these developments in creating a civilian version. According to him, the development was completed in a fairly short time, and the production of serial machines will begin in 2025.
The new trucks should replace tractors and dump trucks that have left the Russian market, primarily from Western manufacturers. The production of these machines will be organized at the specially created "Romanov" company in St. Petersburg.
