Since the beginning of 2025, the Moscow Automobile Road Inspectorate (MADI), which deals with the evacuation of illegally parked cars, has discovered and rescued 13 animals in locked cars. Among the "rescued from captivity" were 7 dogs, 5 cats and one hamster.
MADI strongly recommends that owners do not leave their animals in cars. This can lead to hypothermia in pets, stress, as well as a lack of oxygen and water. If the car is parked in violation, the pet risks ending up in the impound lot with it.
We strongly urge drivers to be responsible and remember that safety on the roads of the capital depends on everyone. This applies not only to situations with pets left in parked cars, but also, first of all, to the protection of the life and health of child passengers and other road users.
In Moscow, the fine for improper parking is 4.5 thousand rubles. In addition, the owners of evacuated cars are obliged to pay for relocation services, and in some cases, storage, if the car was in the impound lot for more than a day. As a result, the fine may exceed 10 thousand rubles.
For almost 10 months of this year, more than 1.6 thousand cars were evacuated in Moscow, including those that were parked without state license plates or with fake registration plates. The largest number of evacuations occurred on BMW (179 cases), Mercedes-Benz (118), Geely (107), Lada (77) and Toyota (66).
