Fewer violations on Moscow roads

TsODD sums up the results of the video recording system for nine months of 2025

In Moscow, over nine months of 2025, 28.1 million traffic violations were recorded with the help of road cameras, which is 12% less than in the same period last year, according to the Center for Traffic Management (TsODD).

Among the significant achievements is an almost 30% reduction in violations related to the absence of seat belts and motorcycle helmets. For example, on the Kievskoe highway in the area of SNT "Otdykh", the number of cases when drivers and passengers were not wearing seat belts decreased by 87%, and on the TTK near Avtozavodskaya street - by 77%.

In addition, statistics show that the number of overtakings across a solid line has decreased by 23%, and on Leningradsky Prospekt, the number of exits into the oncoming lane has decreased by 55%.

The video recording system includes 3.8 thousand stationary cameras, 138 mobile cameras, and 60 mobile installations. The cameras are capable of recognizing 65 types of various violations.

According to Moscow Deputy Mayor Maxim Liksutov, cameras are placed in accident zones and in areas with a high probability of speeding. He noted that the improvement of the violation recording system will continue.
