Air cushion vehicles will expand transportation capabilities in remote regions

The State Transport Leasing Company (GTLK) has signed the technical acceptance and transfer acts for two passenger air cushion vehicles of the "Sputnik-20" project. The vessels were built at the Gals shipyard in Nizhny Novgorod as part of the water transport leasing development program with the support of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Russia.

The new ACVs are designed to carry up to 20 passengers and have high maneuverability. They are equipped with in-house developed rotary centrifugal blowers for movement on shallow water, marshy terrain and ice surfaces. Thanks to this, "Sputnik-20" is becoming a popular solution for operation in regions with difficult natural conditions.

The relatively light weight of the vessel increases its efficiency and payload. "Sputnik-20" is capable of transporting significant volumes of cargo, which makes it an effective tool for logistics and passenger transportation in remote and hard-to-reach areas.

Technical characteristics of the "Sputnik-20" project:

  • Payload weight — 2000 kg;
  • Capacity — 1 seat for the driver and 20 passengers;
