Communication specialists of the 35th Combined Arms Army of the Vostok troop group are using the SNARK-100R tactical satellite communication system with a parabolic antenna gain of 41 dB, according to the Russian Ministry of Defense.
This communication system has an advantage because it works directly from the satellite. If a communication line is damaged, you can switch to a backup.
SNARK-100R provides tactical information exchange between Russian Armed Forces personnel. The complex operates in the range of 10.7 to 14.5 GHz. In addition to data transmission, it can be used to organize audio and video conferences.
SNARK-100R characteristics:
