Specialists of JSC "Information Satellite Systems" named after Academician M. F. Reshetnev" (JSC "RESHETNEV", part of "Roscosmos") have created the RS-30M satellite communication terminal, which provides a stable signal when mobile Internet access is limited and there is no cellular coverage. The company's press service revealed the characteristics of the device.
Features of the RS-30M terminal:

- Automatic aiming of the terminal at a telecommunications spacecraft
- Positioning system for contact with navigation satellites
- Providing stable wireless communication on transport (when changing speed and vibrations)
- Weight — 2.5 kg
- Power consumption — 50 W
- Autonomous power supply
- Operating conditions — from -40 to +50
- Protection of the antenna from wind and rain with a radio-transparent coating
At the same time, the subscriber terminal provides seamless integration into the existing networks of domestic satellite communication operators.
The RS-30M terminal can be used to organize communication in the field, during emergencies, and during rescue operations.
