Russia is developing its own analogue of the American Starlink satellite communication system. This was announced by the head of Roscosmos, Dmitry Bakanov.
The Director General of the corporation has not yet provided any technical details of the new system.
We will soon have our own Starlink terminal. It is imperative to make our own satellite device as well.
At the end of August, the drone manufacturer Zala presented the Geocosmos ground-based communication and navigation system, whose functions are similar to Starlink.
Geocosmos allows the use of manned aircraft and drones even in the complete absence of satellite navigation, and also includes cellular communication and electronic warfare functionality. The manufacturer has not announced a date for the start of mass production.
