LMS-901 «Baikal» aircraft have not yet taken to the skies in a serial version, but they have already found a job — transporting tourists around the Krasnoyarsk Territory. This was reported by the Ministry of Economic Development.
The first aircraft will be delivered to the Agat airline as early as the end of 2026. At first, they will be used in the forest aviation industry, and then they will be allowed to transport passengers.
The head of the department, Maxim Reshetnikov, noted during a visit to the region that the project is important for domestic tourism. A total of 10 aircraft were ordered.
For the growing tourist flow, which already exceeds the indicators of Soviet times, modern aviation is critical. The new «Baikal» aircraft is an opportunity for economically affordable flights, including excursion flights.
It should be noted that flight tests of the serial «Baikal» are continuing, and certification has not yet been completed.
Earlier www1.ru reported that UAC engineers underwent retraining for the tasks of future aviation projects.
