The assembly of the new modification of the 81-775.2/776.2/777.2 "Moscow-2026" metro train has started at the Metrovagonmash plant (part of Transmashholding JSC) in Mytishchi.
The train is intended for the Moscow Metro. New modification trains will be delivered to the capital's metro as part of the current contract, which provides for the supply of a total of 2,592 cars between 2020 and 2027, including 704 in 2026-2027.
The assembly of the first train is scheduled to be completed by the end of 2025. After that, its factory tests are planned.
The "Moscow-2026" train will become a technological continuation of the "Moscow-2024" models. The new train will retain all the key solutions — wide doorways, through inter-car passages, efficient air conditioning systems and a large number of information media screens. Dynamic interior lighting will change color according to the metro line. USB and Type-C connectors will also be available for charging mobile devices.
The new trains will feature fresh interior elements, glass handrails at the entrance group and a rear-view camera housing. Passenger seats will become more comfortable due to the absence of metal joints, and the headlights of the head cars will also change.
Earlier www1.ru reported that the Ivolga 4.0 trains with a new design will be released on the MCD.
