On the marine transport of Sevastopol, you can now pay for your fare with a "smile" - this is the first use of biometrics on public marine transport in the country. The project was implemented by Sber in partnership with the government of Sevastopol.
12 Sber biometric terminals are installed on three city piers - on Grafskaya pier, in Artillery Bay and on Zakharov Square. Secure payment via biometrics takes only a few seconds.
Passengers also have other cashless payment methods available: by card, sticker, smartphone via NFC. Thus, since the beginning of the year, 2 million passengers (55%) have paid for travel by bank card, 1 million people (29%) - with preferential transport cards. Every seventh passenger (14%) chooses transport cards and monthly passes. Only 2% of passengers used cash.
It should be noted that you can pay using biometrics on all types of transport in Sber terminals: land (buses, trolleybuses and trams), underground (metro), and now also marine.
