During the test of the updated Lada Niva Travel, experts found that the power steering made unpleasant noises. They asked the model's chief engineer why the car was behaving so strangely. Dmitry Grunwald explained that the reason for the whining power steering is due to the design features of the mechanism.
The fluid starts to bypass through the valve, so it buzzes in the extreme position.
Lada Niva Travel has undergone a major upgrade. The car is equipped with a new 1.8-liter 90-horsepower engine, a reinforced transmission, as well as new front disc brakes from the Lada Vesta model and a redesigned front suspension. The updated model has not yet been delivered to dealers.
