Новый пакет антироссийских санкций Евросоюза затронул Sollers и АвтоВАЗ

The company noted that the production is based on local solutions and does not depend on imports from Europe

Russian automaker Sollers and its subsidiaries, Sollers Alabuga and Sollers Cargo, have been included in the new, 19th package of sanctions from the European Union. However, the company is confident that the restrictions will not affect the operation of the enterprises and the production of cars.

The inclusion of Sollers in the sanctions package will not affect the company's activities in any way. The group has no relations with European counterparties, and all current production of UAZ and Sollers vehicles is based on highly localized and sanction-resistant solutions.

Sollers produces a range of models, including the SP7 minivan, as well as the ST6, ST8, and ST9 pickups. These cars are based on the JAC platform but are fully adapted to Russian conditions: they are produced in Yelabuga, equipped with Euro-6 gasoline engines, multimedia systems with a Russified interface, and a winter package of options.

In addition, the European Union, as part of the 19th package of anti-Russian sanctions, imposed restrictive measures against AvtoVAZ and the company's head, Maxim Sokolov.

19th EU Sanctions Package

The new EU sanctions package, adopted under the leadership of the head of European diplomacy, Kai Kallas, targets not only Russian companies but also financial structures, crypto exchanges, as well as firms from India and China.

The document provides for the restriction of Russian LNG imports from 2027 and includes sanctions against 117 ships of the so-called "shadow fleet." The EU has banned the purchase of LNG in Russia under short-term contracts from April 25, 2026, and under long-term contracts from January 1, 2027.
