According to him, the company has already signed a contract for the supply of 18 aircraft of this type, and in the future it is ready to purchase another 90 such aircraft. Alexandrovsky stressed that without large orders it is difficult for the Russian aircraft industry to gain momentum in the serial production of new aircraft.

This is just the beginning, we are ready to sign the next one for an increase. And we are already discussing the terms of the contract with the industry in detail, we are ready to do it as flexibly as possible.
Sergey Alexandrovsky, CEO of Aeroflot

Alexandrovsky added that the production of new aircraft is the future of Russian aviation.

Russian Minister of Economic Development Maxim Reshetnikov noted that thousands of suppliers are involved in the work on the aircraft.

Earlier www1.ru reported that the VK-800 engine will be brought to readiness in 2025.
