Workers of the "Ship Repair and Shipbuilding Corporation" (PJSC "SSK", Gorodets) have completed the construction of the last (No. 10) block for the pontoon floating dock of project 28140S in the Nizhny Novgorod region. This was reported by the press service of the Russian Maritime Register of Shipping.
Specialists of the Russian Maritime Register of Shipping inspected and issued documents for all blocks of the pontoon dock. After that, parts of the structure were sent to the outfitting base.
The final assembly of the modular structure of the floating dock, which will include these building units, will be carried out in Arkhangelsk.
Characteristics of the pontoon floating dock project 28140S:

- Height of the side to the top deck — 13.65 m
- Maximum immersion depth — 9.8 m

- Crew — 25 people
The non-self-propelled facility is used for docking (placing a vessel in a dock for inspection, repair and maintenance of the underwater part of the hull, rudder, propellers and other mechanisms) of vessels with a docking weight of up to 5 thousand tons. The floating dock is designed for operation in northern latitudes.
