The Arctic Basin Branch of FSUE "Rosmorport" has taken over the management of a berth for handling general cargo, located in the port of Arkhangelsk. The facility was transferred in accordance with the order of the Interregional Territorial Administration of Rosimushchestvo.
The hydraulic structure, built in 1941 and reconstructed in 1992, will now be used for handling cargo ships. The berth has a length of 180 m and a depth of 9.5 to 9.7 m, which allows handling vessels up to 174 m long and 24.5 m wide.
Prior to the transfer, the berth was part of the treasury of the Russian Federation. After the assessment activities, the facility will be leased to an interested marine terminal operator.
