At the St. Petersburg International Gas Forum, Aurus-Aero, part of Gazprom's corporate structure and a subsidiary of Gazprom Tech LLC, entered into an agreement with the Ulyanovsk Region. The document provides for the company's operations in the territory of the Port Special Economic Zone (PSEZ) "Ulyanovsk".
The company and the PSEZ prefer not to disclose details of future activities, but the main focus of their work is the production of aircraft and helicopters.
According to reports, Aurus-Aero plans to establish the production of a new business jet in the PSEZ.
It is worth recalling that the Tu-324 short-range aircraft project, developed in the 90s at the Tupolev Design Bureau, will become the basis for a new Russian business jet, which will be produced under the Aurus brand.
The Tu-324 project, despite its long history, has significant potential to be transformed into a modern and competitive business jet. Originally conceived as a regional passenger aircraft, it is characterized by reliable design and well-thought-out aerodynamic solutions, which allows it to provide comfortable flight and economical operation.
Some technical characteristics of the Tu-324:
- Crew: 2 pilots.
- Capacity: about 50-70 passengers, depending on the cabin layout.
- Flight range: 2000-2500 km (for the basic version).
- Maximum take-off weight: about 23-25 tons.
- Cruising speed: 750-800 km/h.
- Service ceiling: 11,000 meters.
