Android smartphone users have a new feature: the "Moscow Metro" app now allows online top-up of the "Troika" transport card and the Muscovite card via the Mir Pay payment service.
To use the new feature, you need to add bank card details to Mir Pay, then select this payment method in the "Moscow Metro" app and confirm the transfer. After payment, the ticket can be recorded using a phone with NFC support, at the metro or MCC turnstile, tram, bus, electric bus validator, as well as in a machine or terminal in the metro.
The "Moscow Metro" mobile application is used by more than three million people every month. It allows you to top up cards without contacting ticket offices and machines, which saves time and makes traveling around the city even more convenient.
The integration of Mir Pay is a logical step in the development of digital transport services in the capital. The domestic contactless payment system is actively expanding its scope, supporting the course towards import independence and data security.
