The overhaul project for the Ulyanovsk "Barataevka" airfield (JSC "Ulyanovsk Airport") has received a positive conclusion from the Glavgosexpertiza of Russia.
The documentation was prepared by organizations subordinate to Rosaviatsiya - the "Aeroproject" Institute under a contract with FSUE "AGA(A)". The project's approval paves the way for the practical implementation of repair work.
The "Barataevka" airfield is of strategic importance not only for passenger transportation but also for the training of future pilots. At its base, cadets of the civil aviation training institute practice their skills during training flights, which makes infrastructure repair particularly important for aviation education and flight safety.
The overhaul includes the renovation of the apron with a total area of 77.1 thousand square meters. Work is scheduled to begin in November 2025 after the contract is signed with the contractor, and the project is expected to be completed in 2026.
