The USC "Krasnoye Sormovo" plant has sent the second vessel of the KSP01 project, the crab processing vessel "Kildin", to St. Petersburg. The vessel will be completed and undergo mooring and sea trials at the northern shipyard.
A detachable floating dock structure was used for transportation, specially designed by the Nevsky Design Bureau of USC for the KSP01 series of fishing vessels.
The construction of "Kildin" is carried out according to the principle of a "distributed shipyard": the hull and main works were carried out at the plant in Nizhny Novgorod, after which the vessel, accompanied by two tugs, headed to St. Petersburg for completion of construction and testing.
Crab processing vessels of the KSP01 project are modern high-tech vessels for catching Kamchatka crab in the North Atlantic and Arctic seas at depths from 20 to 400 meters. They are equipped with all the necessary equipment for efficient processing of the catch directly on board, which increases the economic efficiency of fishing and reduces the load on port facilities.
