The Russian manufacturer of printing equipment and software (SW) "Katyusha" has launched mass production of the first electronic board for a printer on domestic textolite. The solution is the SK424 contactless card reader of its own design, already included in the Register of Russian Industrial Products.
The module is used for user authentication when working with devices. Maxim Vinogradov, General Director of Katyusha, noted that by 2027 it is planned to increase the share of the domestic component base and transfer all Russian electronic modules to textolite of its own production.
The annual volume of material use will be about 400,000 boards.
Managing Partner of the company Vladislav Siver added that the company plans to produce over 100,000 printers in 2025.
Despite a difficult year, we are maintaining investment plans for localizing production and expanding the product line.
The volume of the Russian market of printers and multifunctional devices (MFPs) in 2024 reached 56 billion rubles, an increase of 12% compared to 2023. The number of devices sold increased by 42% - from 2.3 to 3.3 million units.
