UMG has introduced its new development, the E225C LR excavator, to the Russian special equipment market. It is designed for operations requiring increased reach and digging depth. Its applications include deepening and cleaning water bodies, servicing hydraulic structures, creating slopes, demolishing buildings, and preparing sites.
The machine is based on the serial model E225C, but it has a significantly modified working equipment. The extended boom (9.2 m) and stick (5.8 m) allow digging soil at a depth of over 12 meters and within a radius of up to 16 meters. The basic configuration includes buckets with a volume of 0.4 m³ and 0.33 m³ for universal use.
Previously, the production of extended working bodies for the E225C was carried out by third-party companies. Now, their design and manufacture have been transferred to the "Tver Excavator," which is part of the UMG group. This makes it possible to offer customers a solution with a factory warranty and simplified service.
In Russia, there is a growing demand for excavators of this class: projects for the modernization of hydraulic engineering facilities are expanding, and the volume of coastal protection works and engineering preparation of territories is increasing. In this regard, the start of production of UMG "long-arm" excavators by its own forces can be seen as a step towards import substitution and strengthening positions in the specialized market segment.
The launch of serial production of the E225C LR is scheduled after the completion of a set of tests. The first order has already been placed, which indicates the prospects of the new modification.
Earlier, www1.ru reported that an experimental model of the Moskvich-2142 car has joined the collection of the museum in Verkhnyaya Pyshma.
