The Belarusian brand Belgee has introduced its new development — the X80 crossover, which has become the fourth model in their range. This hybrid car with a series-parallel system will be available for purchase in Belarus in a single configuration called Max, at a price equivalent to approximately 29,600 US dollars. One of the Belarusian online resources promptly conducted a test drive of the new crossover, revealing its main advantages and disadvantages.
The hybrid crossover belongs to the SUV-D segment. Its dimensions are: length — 4740 mm, width — 1905 mm, height — 1685 mm. The wheelbase is 2755 mm, which makes it noticeably larger than the gasoline version of the Belgee X70. The ground clearance is 172 mm, which is a typical value for this class of car.
The car is equipped with a second-generation NordThor 2.0 power plant, developed by Geely and known under the abbreviation EM-i. The hybrid system includes a 1.5-liter four-cylinder internal combustion engine and an E-DHT transmission, which integrates a starter-generator and an electric motor. Despite the fact that the gasoline engine does not directly participate in the transfer of torque to the wheels, the car is classified as a hybrid with a series-parallel principle of operation.
The total power of the Belgee X80 is 218 horsepower, and the maximum torque is 262 Nm. This allows the car to accelerate to 100 km/h in 7.5 seconds, and the maximum speed is limited to 170 km/h.
The Belgee X80 PHEV is equipped with an 18.4 kWh lithium iron phosphate battery that supports both AC and DC charging. The internal combustion engine runs on AI-92 gasoline, for which a 50-liter fuel tank is provided.
The claimed combined range according to the WLTP cycle is 940 kilometers.
The hybrid crossover is based on the GEA modular architecture, familiar to consumers from the Geely E5 electric vehicle. The car has front-wheel drive, the front suspension is made according to the MacPherson scheme, and the rear is an independent multi-link.
The interior is made in a minimalist style with a small number of physical switches. The decoration is dominated by plastic panels, soft-touch materials and artificial leather. The interior looks neat, although without any special frills.
On the center console there are platforms for wireless charging of smartphones and a climate control unit. A massive dial regulates the volume of the audio system and changes the design of the central display. Below are cup holders, and in the armrest there is a small glove compartment.
The trunk volume of the Belgee X80 is 428 liters in the high position of the false floor, in the low position it increases by about 100 liters. By folding down the rear seats, you can get a luggage compartment with a volume of 2065 liters.
Earlier www1.ru reported that an updated version with a classic "automatic" Belarusian crossover Belgee X70 began to arrive at dealers in Russia.
