A representative of Russian Railways at the "Digital Transportation" forum spoke about the company's achievements in the field of digitalization and the introduction of artificial intelligence (AI). According to him, since the beginning of work in this direction, 33 systems with AI have been implemented, and an advanced electronic document management system has been created. As a result, about 80% of services to passengers are now provided electronically.
The representative of Russian Railways noted that AI is used at all levels of the company. Among the plans for the future is the introduction of fully automated transport.
We will definitely implement automated technology. The development of technology is only a matter of time, and what seemed like science fiction 10 years ago is now a reality
At the same time, the representative of Russian Railways noted that the company still has a lot of work to do to integrate AI into all processes. The main problem remains the lack of high-performance equipment needed to process large amounts of data and operate intelligent systems in real time.
Digitalization in Russian Railways covers both passenger and logistics areas. The use of AI helps to predict demand, optimize traffic schedules and improve the safety of transportation. Experts note that such solutions allow companies to adapt faster to modern requirements, reduce operating costs and improve the quality of service.
