Artificial intelligence technologies are actively used in the Moscow Metro, making trips more convenient and safer. This was reported by the capital's mayor's office.
The biometric payment system allows passengers to pass through turnstiles without a card or phone - just a glance is enough. It operates at all metro stations, MCC, some MCDs, "Aeroexpress", and river transport.
The "Sphere" video analytics system helps the police find suspects and missing persons. The "Moscow Metro" app uses machine learning to show the real-time load of carriages - the data is updated every 10 seconds.
Passengers also have access to the Alexander chatbot, which tells interesting facts about the metro and suggests how to use car sharing and taxis. According to Deputy Mayor Maxim Liksutov, the metro's digital services continue to develop and become even more convenient for citizens.
