Russian Railways has introduced a new modular video analytics system designed to enhance security at transport facilities and in crowded areas. This system operates around the clock, using AI to analyze data from various sensors and devices — video cameras, weather stations, and other measuring instruments.
The information received is fed in real-time to automated operator workstations, allowing them to respond promptly to incidents, including bad weather or safety violations by passengers.
This technology has already been implemented on suburban platforms of the Moscow hub and will be extended to other Russian Railways facilities. Thanks to this project, Russian Railways has received international recognition, becoming a laureate of the BRICS Solutions Awards in the category of "Artificial Intelligence and Digital Services."
