Russia is the only country in the world capable of offering India unique opportunities in defense cooperation, including licensed production of fifth-generation Su-57 fighters. This was announced by Roman Babushkin, Minister-Counselor of the Russian Embassy in India.
According to him, the possibility of transferring Su-57 to India and new deliveries of S-400 anti-aircraft missile systems are currently being discussed.
All these options are being considered. We have a very advanced dialogue with India on all types of defense cooperation.
Alexander Mikheev, General Director of Rosoboronexport (part of Rostec), noted that Russia offers the supply of the latest fifth-generation Su-57 fighters, as well as the organization of their production in India and assistance in the development of its own machine of this level.
Russia and India signed a contract for the supply of S-400 back in October 2018. Five regimental sets will cost New Delhi $5.43 billion.
