Composites developed and manufactured by Rosatom helped engineers at S7 to develop parts for the promising Tango trainer aircraft in the shortest possible time. The first deliveries of which will begin at the end of next year. This was announced at the World Nuclear Week by Yegor Golikov, Chief Technologist of the Tango project.
Our aircraft is designed for future pilots of domestic aviation. Currently, there is a shortage of domestic aircraft of this class on the market, and we plan to fill this gap. Thanks to Rosatom's composites, we implemented this project in the shortest possible time. We plan to start mass production next year.
As Golikov noted, composites account for about 90% of the developed aircraft, and the use of these materials makes it possible to reduce the weight of these parts by 1.5 times and reduce the load on supporting structures. According to him, the Tango project has already attracted attention from the Ministry of Transport, and the project participants expect that the first production aircraft will begin to be used in flight schools at the end of next year.
Tango is a training aircraft that is positioned as a Russian analogue of the American Cessna model. It is designed to train civil aviation pilots.
Technical characteristics:
- light single-engine aircraft with four seats;
- equipped with non-retractable tricycle landing gear and a pulling propeller;
- only Russian composite materials, metal parts and components are used in production;
- maximum take-off weight - 1150 kilograms;
- flight range - up to 1100 kilometers;
- maximum speed - 245 kilometers per hour;
- take-off/landing distance - 550 meters.
