This week, information spread online about the suspension of Lada Aura production by AvtoVAZ. This information was confirmed by an anonymous source, a former AvtoVAZ engineer known online under the pseudonym KhaDm.
According to KhaDm, the Aura conveyor belt has not actually stopped. Production facilities allow for resumption of production at any time and in the required volumes. However, there is no demand for the model. Not a single unit has been produced in the last three months.
KhaDm emphasized that many dealerships across the country still have stocks of "Auras" produced at the end of 2024. In particular, he reported the presence of eight unsold 2024 vehicles at one of the dealers in Togliatti.
The Lada Aura is equipped with a 1.8-liter engine with 122 hp and a CVT. The car is offered in two trim levels: Premier at a price of 2.6 million rubles and Status for 2.8 million rubles. Taking into account the maximum discounts, the cost of the car can be reduced to 2.05-2.25 million rubles.
