A mockup of the Russian Tor-M2KM surface-to-air missile system (SAM) was presented at the arms forum in Belgrade. The developers showed the audience a combat module of the complex on a wheeled chassis.
According to specialists from IEMZ Kupol, the Tor-M2KM combat module can be installed on various platforms, including ship decks, building roofs, and even railway platforms. This makes the complex attractive for various application scenarios.
The Tor-M2KM SAM system is capable of detecting airborne objects at a distance of over 32 km, engaging several targets simultaneously, and hitting them at a range of up to 16 km. The altitude of engagement varies from 10 meters to 12 km. This allows it to effectively counter various threats.
The complex can operate both autonomously and as part of a layered defense, which attracts the attention of Russia's foreign partners both at military exhibitions and arms shows, and in real combat conditions.
Earlier www1.ru reported that small ships of the Russian Navy were equipped with Tor-M2KM combat modules.
