The first footage of tests of the promising Russian man-portable air defense system (MANPADS) of the "Vector" project, designed to combat unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), has appeared online. The system, developed at one of the country's enterprises, is positioned as an effective means of countering the growing threat posed by drones of various types.
The published videos show the process of preparing and launching a missile from a MANPADS at a conditional air enemy. The developers claim that the complex has increased accuracy and range of target engagement, as well as improved noise immunity to various electronic warfare equipment actively used to protect drones.
The manufacturer of the complex reported that work on adjusting the product control continues.
Earlier www1 reported that Geran-3 jet drones have become invulnerable to electronic warfare equipment.
