The first footage of testing the promising Russian man-portable air defense system (MANPADS) of the "Vector" project, designed to combat unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), has appeared online. The system, developed at one of the country's enterprises, is positioned as an effective means of countering the growing threat posed by drones of various types.
The published videos show the process of preparing and launching a missile from the MANPADS at a mock air target. The developers claim that the complex has increased accuracy and range of target engagement, as well as improved noise immunity to various electronic warfare systems actively used to protect drones.
The manufacturer of the complex reported that work on adjusting the product's control continues.
Earlier, www1 reported that Geran-3 jet drones have become invulnerable to electronic warfare equipment.
