The Scientific and Production Center (SPC) "Ushkuynik" has developed a marine unmanned surface vehicle (USV) controlled by fiber optics, military expert Boris Rozhin reported.
A distinctive feature of the USV is a new fiber optic control system. The cable does not break when the vessel moves and immediately lays on the bottom. Thanks to this measure, the boat will become interference-protected, ignoring electronic warfare systems.
The drone is capable of moving on water at high speed and maneuvering sharply. The project was developed taking into account the specifics of combat operations in the Black Sea.
The vessel can act as a fighter of enemy USVs, perform the role of a kamikaze drone or a carrier for FPV drones.
