The Scientific and Production Center (SPC) "Ushkuynik" has developed a marine unmanned surface vehicle (USV) controlled by fiber optics, military expert Boris Rozhin reported.
A distinctive feature of the USV is a new fiber optic control system. The cable does not break when the vessel moves and immediately lays on the bottom. Thanks to this measure, the boat will become interference-protected, ignoring electronic warfare systems.
The drone is capable of moving on the water at high speed and maneuvering sharply. The project was developed taking into account the peculiarities of combat operations specifically in the Black Sea.
The vessel can act as a fighter of enemy USVs, act as a kamikaze drone, or a carrier for FPV drones.
