The United Engine Corporation (UEC, part of Rostec) has produced the second serial high-power gas turbine GTD-110M. This is "the only unit in Russia at the moment in this class, said Oleg Yevtushenko, executive director of the state corporation.
Rostec helps to solve the strategic task of developing the Russian energy system. New deliveries will follow this one.
During the tests, the GTD-110M reached a nominal capacity of 115 MW, confirming the parameters set by the developers. The turbine has a high efficiency, comparable to the best foreign ones.
At the same time, the GTD-110M is lighter and more compact in size. The unit is characterized by high fuel efficiency. The product is focused on the Russian market and will replace foreign models.
The second serial turbine will be part of the generating equipment of one of the largest power plants in the Rostov region. The first one is already operating at the Udarnaya TPP in the Krasnodar Territory.
