The Russian Progress MS-32 cargo spacecraft, which will go to the ISS on September 11, will deliver equipment for work, provisions and the newest Orlan-MKS spacesuits No. 7 to the cosmonauts. This was reported by the Roscosmos press service.
The 112 kg spacesuit has everything to ensure life:
- Air purification from carbon dioxide
- Maintaining oxygen levels
- Cooling and heating system
- Communication system
Orlan-MKS No. 7, unlike the spacesuits of the previous series, is completely autonomous. In it, you can work outside the International Space Station (ISS) for up to 8 hours. The inner sealed shell, made of high-tech fabric, has a longer lifespan. An automatic water cooling system maintains a comfortable temperature for the cosmonaut.
