Russian company Navio has developed the PlayAuto software platform for integration with standard car media systems. The system is designed for automakers and dealerships in Russia.
The PlayAuto platform is a universal solution and can be installed both on the assembly line of a car factory and in a dealership. The developer offers three integration options depending on the capabilities of the car's head unit: projection from a smartphone screen (PlayAuto Sync), a separate application for a ready-made system (PlayAuto Lite), and a full-fledged digital system for automakers (PlayAuto Pro).
The platform includes key services for drivers: navigation on "2GIS" maps with offline mode, the "Sound" music service with an extensive content library, as well as the function of online fuel payment through the "Refuel Car" service. Control is carried out using a voice assistant that supports dialogue. A single Sber ID authorization system is used to access the services.
The appearance of PlayAuto provides Russian automakers and distributors with an alternative solution for equipping new and already sold cars with a modern media system with localized services.
