New Lada Models to be Assembled at a Plant in Kyrgyzstan: Launch Planned for 2026

The strategy is designed for 10 years and involves a gradual transition from large-unit assembly to full-cycle production

JSC "AVTOVAZ", together with the Central Asia Capital investment fund, is considering the possibility of launching large-unit assembly of Lada cars in Kyrgyzstan. The project, presented in August at the economic forum in Bishkek, is scheduled to begin in 2026.

According to Central Asia Capital, the total investment in the project is estimated at 30 million US dollars. Financing is planned to be carried out through the fund's own funds and attracted investments through the issuance of bonds.

The project strategy is designed for 10 years and involves a gradual transition from large-unit assembly to full-cycle production. At the first stage, from 2026 to 2030, it is planned to assemble up to 1.5 thousand cars per year. By 2035, the company intends to increase production to 5 thousand cars per year, deepen localization and expand the model range.

The facilities are planned to produce Lada Granta, Vesta, Largus, Niva models, as well as the new Iskra model and commercial versions based on them. According to local media reports, the base price of a car may be from 10.4 thousand dollars. The issue of possible subsidies from the Russian Federation is under discussion, and a final decision on the project has not yet been made.
