A full-cycle chip manufacturing plant will be built in Veliky Novgorod, covering all stages: from development to assembly and packaging. The enterprise will master technological processes with standards of 800 nm and 600 nm, which, despite their relative obsolescence, remain in demand in the defense and space industries.
The project will be undertaken by the scientific and technological center "Intelligent Electronics - Valdai." The first stage will involve design and construction, as well as equipping the enterprise with the necessary engineering infrastructure and technological equipment.
The constructed plant will be engaged in the development of microcircuit topologies, their assembly, packaging, and casing. The main consumers of the products will be research laboratories, the advanced engineering school of NovSU, residents of the INTC, regional enterprises, and external customers.
The project for the casing and testing center on the territory of the INTC is estimated at approximately 1.3-1.5 billion rubles. A 150 mm chip production line with 0.8-0.6 μm standards and a capacity of several thousand plates per month may require approximately 30-60 billion rubles of investment. With its expansion to 200 mm and an increase in productivity, estimates may rise to 60-90 billion rubles.
