From January to May 2025, Moscow enterprises increased the production of electrical switching and protection equipment by 52.6% compared to the same period last year. The production volume amounted to more than 5.7 billion rubles. This was announced by Deputy Mayor of Moscow Maxim Liksutov.
The capital employs about three thousand professionals engaged in the production of electrical products. They are in demand in various industries: in the energy sector, transport, and construction. In the first half of 2025, factories supplied electrical equipment worth over 73 billion rubles.
Moscow enterprises offer a wide range of products, including electric motors, transformers, and cables for automation and communication systems. The Spetskabel plant has developed an innovative combined cable for airfields. It combines navigation and information channels, replacing dozens of separate lines. The cable is durable, thanks to special sealing, and is suitable for both modernization and construction of new airfields.
Another manufacturer, Moskabel, is actively developing new directions. The company's portfolio includes more than 80 patented products. Last year, the plant's sales volume amounted to 51 billion rubles, and investments in development exceeded 1.2 billion rubles. The plant offers more than 70 thousand product names and received the status of an industrial complex, which allows it to enjoy tax benefits for modernization and increased production.
